Fees differ for individual client session (50-60 mins) and Couple / Family session (1.5 hr).
$140 and $195 respectively. Extended sessions for either are pro-rata.
My services are not eligible for Medicare (GP Mental Health Plan), Private Health Fund or Concession rates. You do not need a GP or Specialist referral to see me. Please check with your NDIS, EAP Provider, EACH or Carer Gateway if they might provide funding for your counselling support.
You are required to complete and sign an Intake Form before we meet for your first session.
If my fees are completely outside your financial feasibility, there are low or no-cost counselling services in the community.
What you need to know:
- Your counselling fee applies to in-session work only (individual or couple/family).
- Fee is payable before or by your appointment time.
- A late cancellation / no-show / late reschedule will incur a fee of $65 payable before next appointment.
- All appointments are confirmed on a first-come first served basis and your cooperation is appreciated.
- Longer sessions are available when pre-booked and fees are charged accordingly.
- Please note that a fee will apply for any document request or unscheduled consultation out of session.
The counselling fee is an important consideration. However, finding a "good fit" therapist and therapeutic relationship for effective and responsive counselling will save you time and money in the end. Your internal experience and interpersonal process with me are crucial factors for a collaborative, respectful and ethical co-creating process. It opens the way for internal shifts and the change process you want. It is therefore, strongly recommended that you are willing to commit to a consistent and predictable counselling schedule to build trust in the process and to move it along.
That being said, how often to meet will be clearer once we listen and assess your situation together. This often brings a different perspective to the time and costs required and clients often say it is more manageable than they first expected.
Your individual or group supervision with me will meet the requirements of ARCAP, ACA, CCAA and PACFA for registration and renewals.
Individual Supervision is $140 (50-60 mins). If this is prohibitive due to your circumstances, please contact me to discuss further.
Group Supervision is a great option for group learning and support and more affordable for some of us. It is possible and even desirable for some of us to experience support and being stretched in practice and personal growth through the group process. Numbers are limited to 5 - 8 supervisees who will meet at least monthly, during the school term.
Please contact me for details and rates.
Supervision is a commitment and a collaborative process between supervisor and counsellor/supervisee to reflect on therapist practice. My supervision approach is based on reflective practice in the developmental, contextual and systemic aspects of our practice, professional identity and our shared humanity. We all need a safe, welcoming space to reflect on what we do, how we do it and why we do it. Deliberate practice with feedback can widen our view of reality on ourselves and our clients.
My supervision process recognises the interaction between client and therapist - it is the space where change and growth can happen. This space is not static but interactional and dynamic. "Good enough supervision" creates a safe enough space to celebrate what we do well - and be creatively stretched. Let's face it, it can be lonely, isolating work wherever we are in any stage of our professional practice.
