Counselling fees
Fee range: $160 - $200
Individual Client session (50 - 60 mins) or longer by arrangement.
Couple / Family session (90 mins)
Fees are payable by direct bank debit before or by the time of your appointment.
Cash is also accepted.
An Intake/Consent Form must be completed before your first session.
You do not need a GP or Specialist referral at Counsellingexpressions but my services are not eligible for Medicare, Private health fund rebates or concession rates. You may be eligible for funded counselling sessions ~ please check with your service provider / carer organisation.
What you need to know:
- All appointments are confirmed on a first-come first served basis and your cooperation is appreciated.
- The fee applies to in-session work for individual, couple / family and supervision.
- Between sessions contact or requests may incur extra fees.
- Counselling fee is payable before or by the time of appointment.
- A fee is payable for any request to provide a written document, please inquire for details.
- There may be a surcharge for appointments after 5 pm or on Saturdays.
Fee policy:
- Late cancellation or late reschedule of less than 48 office hours (Mondays - Fridays)
- Not turning up (no-show) at appointments will incur 100% payment of appointment fee.
Keeping track of appointments
- It is the client's responsibility to keep a record of their appointments despite a courtesy reminder.
- If in doubt, please contact your therapist to confirm your appointment.
Fees are an important part of the counselling process and service but not the only factor.
Many clients report that fees are more feasible than they first imagined as we work out the frequency and effective engagement with your counselling process.
Try and look at counselling as an investment in yourself, your relationship, your goals and your desired future. If you are ready and willing to do the work, it will save you time and money in the long run. Your commitment to consistently participate in your counselling is key to building trust in the process and exploring new possibilities for change.
If my fees are not feasible at all, we can discuss community agencies that have the capacity to provide low to no cost counselling to you.
REFLECTIVE SUPERVISION ~ Individual I Group I Supervision of Supervision
Your individual and group supervision will meet the requirements for ACA, CCAA and PACFA membership.
Individual supervision fees is currently $160 (50-60 mins).
Supervision is a committed collaborative process between us to reflect on your practice informed by developmental, contextual and systemic processes that impact on your client outcomes. Supervision provides a safe space to explore ethical practice from multiple perspectives with feedback to improve your client outcomes. While we acknowledge the differentiated roles of supervisor and counsellor, we respect our human interaction and as professional colleagues.
Supervision is a matrix of interpersonal interaction between client-and-therapist and the therapist-and-supervisor. Together we co-create a safe space where change and growth can translate into improved outcomes for your clients and where we can be at our growth edges to critically reflect and be responsive to them. Therefore, we actively promote transparency, openness and curiosity to learn and receive feedback about the work and the therapist self.

Group Supervision
This is a great option for learning and mutual support between your peers. It is a more affordable option depending on your caseload and professional needs. We all need to experience support and creative challenge to grow. A safe and well facilitated group process will develop your clinical skills and you are mentored in your professional development and personal growth. Groups are limited to 5 - 8 supervisees (PACFA standard) and we prioritise meeting regularly (fortnightly or monthly) during the school term.
A group may have members who know each other and that is acceptable so long as there is no conflict of interest or close friendships that might interfere with the group process.
